So if you read my last blog, titled “Let’s Get Philosophical”, you might remember that I gave you a quote from Shakespeare about the beauty and inspiration of trees. The response I got from my boss after the posting was that he thought it might be a little esoteric.

Let’s break this down. First of all, the Title of that blog explains the whole premise, right. I warned you that I would be attempting to “get philosophical”. Right there, boom. Full disclosure. Secondly, what does the word esoteric even mean? Okay, I looked it up, it means “intended for or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest.” So, now that I have laid out the facts, I will sum up my opinion of his opinion.

I think if I had used the word “esoteric” it might have actually been “esoteric”. Next, I think everyone understands the word, philosophical, and knows when Shakespeare is quoted it won’t be fully understood until you read it at least twice to understand what the bard was trying to say. I think I win this argument. I will also remind my boss that he told me to write about whatever I was inspired by. I guess this blog will elucidate how inspired I was. Thanks for your feedback!
