It's Sad When an Old Tree Dies
May 6, 2015
Good Day to you! Monster Tree Service is an awesome place to work and the
people are wonderful. While Monster Tree Service provides tree pruning,
tree removal, and tree services for all shapes and sizes of trees, today,
we are actually taking down a real MONSTER tree. So exciting. There will
be lots of trucks and professionals on site helping a customer remove
an old Oak tree that while beautiful sits in a narrow lot between two
homes. Sadly, the tree roots are have grown so large that they are actually
destroying the foundation of the property, and the tree will have to be
removed. I wish I could show you a picture of it, buy confidentiality
and all, you know what I mean.
So in deference and homage to this beautiful Oak, I thought a poem about a tree would be apropos. What is the first poem about a tree that comes to mind for you??? Yup, that is the same one that comes to my mind as well. Maybe we are twins. Call us at Monster Tree Service and let’s find out. Ahem, the beautiful poem then please:
TREES
By: Joyce Kilmer
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts he leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
